FAQs

How frequent are therapy sessions?

Psychotherapy sessions typically start off weekly and are less frequent over time. The frequency will depend on both your needs and schedule. We want to make sure that your needs are met, but also that the frequency is realistic for what else you have to manage in your life.

How long are therapy sessions?

Sessions are typically 50 minutes long.

How long do people go to therapy?

The best (and most common) answer is: It depends. The therapy process is really defined by what you hope to accomplish and when you do, you may want to start weaning from therapy. And you’ll know when it’s time.

Some clients want help getting through a specific time in their lives and end therapy afterwards. Others enjoy ongoing therapy and want to make sure they take this time for themselves throughout their lives.

What is your pricing and what insurance do you take?

We are in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, Blue Choice PPO and United Healthcare. Some of our therapists are also in network with Medicare and Aetna. We also help clients access their out-of-network benefits and HSA & HRA plans. If you do not have insurance or do not wish to use your insurance, the initial evaluation session is $150 and subsequent sessions are $140.

Do you offer Telehealth?

Yes, currently all of our therapy sessions are held via a HIPAA-protected video platform or by phone. During the current COVID health crisis, most insurance companies are covering Telehealth and some are waiving co-pays for their members. Many of our clients report that the use of Telehealth has enabled them to more easily access therapy services and make time for their mental health.
